Goalkeeper Development Centre
March 18 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm GMT£75
The 2019 series of Goalkeeper Development sessions offer more bespoke, player centred coaching than ever before. Through a programme of 4.5 hours, Hockey Wales coaches will put you through your paces, analysing your current skill set, identifying your strong points and areas for improvement in a number of challenging environments.
By entering onto the Goalkeeper Development Programme for 2019, you will receive 4.5 hours of coaching and video analysis of your Goalkeeping. You will also have the opportunity to develop a personal Goalkeeper Development Plan which you can take into your regular training sessions and work on specific aspects of your game.
These Goalkeeping sessions are open to people that are currently eligible to play senior hockey (13 and above). The sessions will cover a range of topics, from pre-game preparation and activation, footwork, hand work, smothering, defensive organisation, 1 v 1s, drag flicking and corner work. If you have something you would particularly like to work on during the sessions, please inform us on the registration form and we can tailor your exercises to meet these demands.
The video footage we take will be condensed into short clips and sent over to each Goalkeeper at the end of the Goalkeeper Development Centre programme. For us to be able to do this, you will have to consent that you are happy for us to take photos and videos during the sessions.
There are only 6 spaces available on the programme between January and March 2019, so please register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
The sessions will run from 8-9:30pm at Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay on the following dates:
Monday 14th January
Monday 18th February
Monday 18th March
Overall cost of the programme is £60 per person. This will provide you with 4.5 hours of contact time and video footage of your Goalkeeping. For an additional £15 (totalling £75) you can also be issued with a personal Goalkeeper Development Plan for you to keep.
