Recently appointed Head Coach of Wales’ NAG Girls, Gwyn Williams has officially announced the squad due to face Ulster next weekend in a three match test series. The squad travel to Wrexham for their first competitive challenge since taking on Scotland over the Easter break earlier this year.

Ahead of his first series with the squad, Williams shared his delight at training so far and likely challenges ahead:

This will be the first opportunity I have to see these girls play in this type of environment. I was very pleased with the outcomes we established in our first training camp together as a group; there was some real energy within the group and the girls responded well to the challenging environment we set down as a coaching team. Now things are up and running we can look to prepare for the Europeans in Czech Republic. The matches against Ulster will be a good test for the players and a chance for them to showcase themselves. The biggest challenge is we only have a short time frame in which the players need to gel and really start to apply our principles into a match intense environment. I am thoroughly looking forward to seeing how these matches develop the group and hopefully the girls will start to instil within themselves that great sense of pride you have playing for your country and in our case the dragon
