Wales men have reached the top tier of the Belfius EuroHockey Championship for the first time since 1999, after two back-to-back promotions in 2015 and 2017 saw them rise from EHC III, to EHC II to EHC.

The EHC 2019 commences on Friday 16th of August, however, Wales’ first pool match doesn’t begin until Saturday 17th of August. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming tournament and how to support Wales men on their endeavour:

WHERE?

The Belfius EuroHockey Championships are taking place in Antwerp, Belgium. The players travelled there this week and have played training matches against the likes of Holland to warm up ready for the weekend.

WHEN?

The championship takes place between the 16th – 25th of August 2019. Wales Pool A matches are scheduled below:

WALES v ENGLAND: Saturday 17th August 2019 10.15am (BST)

WALES v SPAIN: Sunday 18th August 2019 12.30pm (BST)

WALES v BELGIUM: Tuesday 20th August 2019 7.30pm (BST)
