About the Event
Who is the Workshop for?
This workshop is for any young person volunteering in sport. Participants must be aged between 12-23 years (younger participants may wish to be supported by a responsible adult).
2020 has provided challenges to our normal daily routines disrupted. Even now as schools, colleges, universities and organisations allow people to return, things are still different.
This workshop is aimed at providing strategies to help participants with those times in life when they may feel stressed, anxious or simply uncomfortable. These strategies can be used in your sports volunteering role or in everyday life such as exams, interviews public speaking etc.
- Learn about your comfort zone and when you feel uncomfortable (nervous / stressed)
- Self-reflection – how to reflect on and learn from your experiences
- Understanding your wellbeing (including coping strategies)
This workshop is being delivered by Rebecca Chidley, a British Psychological Society (BPS) Chartered Sport and Exercise Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Rebecca is the founder of Life in Sport. For more information click here.
