CLUBS SET OFF TO EUROPE

Following success at National Cup Finals in 2017/18, we see four Welsh Clubs head off to Europe this weekend to represent Wales at various EuroHockey Club Challenge competitions.

Cardiff Uni and Swansea Hockey Club head to Vienna, Austria to compete in EuroHockey Club Challenge II where they’ll be joined by Clubs from Lithuania, Austria and Italy. Cardiff and Swansea are both placed in Pool A, will face each other on the 9th June as a conclusion to their pool matches.

Whitchurch Hockey Club set off to Poland to compete in the EuroHockey Club Challenge I, where they’ll face clubs representing Italy, Poland, Croatia, Denmark and Switzerland. The men will complete their pool games on 9th June with crossover games then taking place on 10th June.

Our final Welsh Club to be representing this weekend is Cardiff and Met Men. Met will head out to Switzerland along with Clubs from Belarus, Switzerland, Ireland, Portugal, Austria, Ukraine and Czech Republic. Cardiff and Met will face WAC Hockey Club from Austria to start their EuroHockey Club Trophy campaign on the 7th June.
