It has been a while since we have had to prepare a COVID update and we hope that everyone is well and has stayed safe over the past few months.
Obviously, we are all hoping that normality will return quickly over the coming months but, as before, we will be led by Welsh Government Guidance and do as much as we can to protect our hockey family.
On the 12 March 2021 the Welsh Government published an update; Hockey Wales has considered the information and we can report the following in relation to our sport:
There will be NO CHANGE TO CLUB ACTIVITY at present.
However, if public health conditions continue to be favourable, from 27 March:
The stay local restrictions will be lifted to allow people to travel within Wales
Organised children’s activities outdoors will restart.
Please be assured that we are working towards this date to ensure we are fully prepared for a return to play as soon as we are able and will continue to communicate with Covid Officers accordingly.
We have been granted ELITE DISPENSATION FOR U18 & U23 squads, as well as the continued dispensation our Senior Squads and performance club teams.
Support is in place for all Covid Officers and we would encourage all queries to be directed to us via your representative or visit: www.hockeywales.org.uk/covid-19.
We would like to extend our thanks for your patience and understanding at this time.
