With the sun beating down fiercely on Eirias Park in North Wales’ Colwyn Bay, seven passionate and very energetic hockey teams, forged from six local clubs (Northop Hall Bangor City, Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Dysynni and Rhyl), came together to compete in the fourth Summer 7’s hockey tournament of the year!

The action-packed afternoon held on Sunday 24th July, kicked off with reigning champions Dysynni HC challenging a team made up of players from Llandudno & Colwyn Bay HC’s on Pitch 1 and Rhyl HC went head to head with Northop Hall’s B Team on neighbouring Pitch 2. The afternoon played host to a total of 10 matches, each consisting of 15 minutes before the next game commenced.

Returning trophy holders, Dysynni brought out a young team, on the prowl to scoop yet another success. A result they fought hard for and fruitfully managed to retain after a tense final against a hungry Llandudno & Colwyn Bay’s blended team.

Teams will have another chance to compete for the trophy on Sunday 22nd July.
