Hockey Wales’ Big Kit Clear Out

Hockey Wales are pleased to announce the ‘Hockey Wales Kit Clear-Out’, designed to help our members productively use the time away from the hockey pitch to have a sort through your old hockey kit, and identify pieces of equipment for donation to our participation initiatives.

With current restrictions on travel, we thought having a good sort through your hockey kit would be a great way to spend some time at home and do your bit for the ongoing participation of hockey in Wales. Hockey Wales runs several year-round initiatives that require extra sticks, balls, or anything else you may have. Don’t let it gather dust in your loft when it could be making a difference in communities across Wales!

Examples of initiatives we require equipment for:

· Hooked on Hoci

· Walking Hockey

· SMASH Hockey

· Summer 7s

· Flyerz

Tag us on Instagram @hockey_wales Twitter or Facebook @HockeyWales with pictures of the kit you are willing to donate, this will enter you into our prize draw (to win a hockey related prize).

Once we are back in full operation, we will arrange kit collection dates in local areas to you so we can gather all of your kindly donated equipment.

Examples of kit/equipment we will accept:

· Hockey Sticks

· Hockey Balls

· Cones

· Bibs

· GK Equipment

· Pitch Markers

The equipment doesn’t have to be in pristine condition, a bit of T.L.C often makes all the difference so we can reuse them in our community participation initiatives. If they are branded, personalised or even slightly damaged we can still accept and make good use of them within our 2020 participation programme.

If you aren’t sure whether we will accept a certain type of equipment, contact us directly on development@hockeywales.org.uk.
