"I couldn't wait to apply and help hockey Wales…"

Between 1st – 7th June Hockey Wales will be joining thousands of organisations across the UK in recognising their fantastic VOLUNTEERS! The week provides a platform for us to not only recognise and share the outstanding work our volunteers do for us but also to say a much deserved THANK YOU. Keep doing what you’re doing troops – we love you for it <3 Chloe Jordan on volunteering with Hockey Wales. Name: Chloe Jordan Location: R.C.T ( volunteer all around South Wales) I’ve been volunteering for 4 years! The reason I put my time into volunteering is because it is very rewarding to see others benefiting from the work we do whether it’s coaching or helping at events. I love volunteering in general but especially with HW because the opportunities are endless, the more time you put in the more you get out of it. Hockey is my main sport and when I saw that there was hockey specific YAs programme, I couldn’t wait to apply and help Hockey Wales at events as I’d be involved in the sport I love. If anyone was thinking of becoming a volunteer I would say go for it, it will be the best thing you do as you get to learn new skills and meet new people. The only challenge I have had is deciding which events to volunteer at as I would love to be able to volunteer at them all. I have a lot of great memories from volunteering and have made great friends but a highlight would be getting selected to go to the EHF youth leadership festival this August, in Amsterdam. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ The team at Hockey Wales would like to say a big thank you to Chloe – not only for taking the time to share her story with us but for the outstanding contribution she’s made to our #hockeyfamily. THANK YOU CHLOE _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Are you a volunteer with Hockey Wales? We’d love to hear from you. Get in touch or share your story through our Twitter or Facebook pages.
