JACOB DRAPER GETS GB CALL UP FOR OLYMPIC QUALIFIERS

Jacob Draper, who holds 45 caps for Wales and 2 for GB, has been selected to compete in the FIH Olympic Qualifier matches for Great Britain.
Great Britain go head to head against Malaysia this weekend, on the 2nd and 3rd of November, in an exciting play off for a spot at Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Following an eventful summer for the 21-year-old at the EuroHockey Championships, Draper was called up to make his 1st senior debut for Great Britain in two test matches against Spain. Just three weeks on, Drapers name makes up one of the 18 men selected to compete in two crucial matches for GB.
The first match against Malaysia will commence at 4.30pm in Lee Valley on Saturday 2nd November, shortly followed by a 3pm push back on Sunday 3rd November.
Draper will have a friendly face at Lee Valley as Welsh Captain Leah Wilkinson will also be representing GB in the women’s squad. It is set to be a busy weekend for the GB squads, as both the senior men and women’s team play for Olympic qualification, be sure to get your tickets here!
