We regret to advise members of the passing of Neil Pallot on 24 January, a Life Member and past President of the Welsh Hockey Association between 1978 and 1980.

Neil was an umpire, a lifelong member of Cardiff HC and also a Welsh international, winning 7 caps at a time when few ‘home-based’ players gained international recognition. With his father Wilfred also having played for Wales (including the 1908 Olympic Games) they became the first father and son combination to have represented their county of birth. Neil was a bachelor and as well as his hockey ‘career’ spent a considerable amount of time in the Territorial Army where he held the rank of Colonel.

The funeral will be held at St Michaels Church, Michaelston-y-Fedw on Tuesday 27 February at 12:15.

Our thoughts go out to Neil’s family and friends.
