Leah Wilkinson has been selected to compete against Chile in the FIH Olympic Qualifier matches next week for GB.

Great Britain’s women’s team will take on Chile in two matches on the 2nd and 3rd of November in an attempt to qualify for Tokyo 2020.

Wales captain Leah Wilkinson, who gained her first cap for GB earlier this month, has been named in the squad of 18 to take on the opposition for the FIH Olympic Qualifiers, in what will be her first international game at Lee Valley. Meanwhile Sarah Jones, who boasts 96 Welsh caps and 22 caps for GB, was ruled out of selection due to an extended period of illness.

Both games are being played at home, in Lee Valley, as Great Britain is the higher ranking team. The aggregate score from both matches of the FIH Olympic Qualifiers will decide the winning team, who shall qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The game begins at 2pm on Saturday 2nd November, and 12pm on Sunday 3rd November, this will be the final chance for GB to qualify for the Olympics.
