WINNERS OF THE FORZA GOAL COMPETITION ANNOUNCED!

Just over two weeks ago, we launched a fantastic competition alongside our award-winning partners, Net World Sports; giving all North Wales Hockey Clubs the chance to win one of their brand new FIH FORZA Championship Hockey Goal.

The premium hockey goal combines strength, reliability and quality manufacturing, resulting in the best professional hockey goal on the market…and we’re pleased to say they have a brand-new home!

Our North and Mid Wales Club Development Officers felt DENBIGH HC were worthy winners after the club entered the competition explaining the current goals being used are either 5-aside football goals or cones, which is far from ideal. This new goal would certainly help players progress and develop an eye for goal.

Denbigh further told us that winning this goal would land at the perfect time for the club, as they’re looking to organise a 7-aside charity tournament next year, which requires four goals. The club regularly fundraise to help support valued club member Ben Rawson who sadly had his leg amputated due to a rare bone cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma (https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ben-rawson) so hosting charity hockey tournaments is vitally important.

Lastly and very importantly, Denbigh explained they’re keen to host junior tournaments, which requires two goals. Unfortunately, they cannot afford both at this time but having the Forza goals means they need only fundraise for one, working towards their goal of the club becoming a regular venue for future tournament for all age groups.

We’re confident Denbigh will put their brand-new goal to great use! Another huge congratulations to you all. We look forward to seeing lots of awesome pictures of the goal in use soon!

A final thank you to Net World Sports for providing the Forza Hockey Goals as an incredible prize to be won. We truly value our partnership and look forward to continuing our great partnership together.
