Club Framework
The Hoci Cymru Club and Communities Framework provides a clear and consistent foundation to help clubs deliver safe, inclusive, and high-quality hockey experiences.
Built around six key pillars, the framework outlines compulsory minimum operating standards that every club must meet. It supports clubs in aligning with best practice, ensuring strong safeguarding measures, effective leadership, clear communication, and thriving environments for players, volunteers, and communities.
This framework underpins our wider ambition of igniting a passion for hockey, creating environments to thrive, and facilitating opportunities for all to engage, compete, and perform.
Priority Areas
The Club and Communities Framework is built on SIX priority areas.
These are the building blocks that make hockey happen.

Next Steps
By working together we aspire to see more people in Wales recognising and valuing the opportunities their hockey clubs and community organisations provide.

We know that some of our clubs and community organisations already have some great leaders, strong partnerships, an understanding of member and community needs and the right coaches, umpires, volunteers and facilities to offer great opportunities to take part in our sport.

This Framework is a guide you can use to help achieve this aspiration, a reference document you can use to identify and address development priorities with the support of Hoci Cymru.

It is designed to support you and your club and community organisation in Wales.
