Another Productive Day for the Welsh sides.

Day Four of the Under 18 European Championships in Swansea saw positive results for both Welsh sides.

Wales’ Girls were looking to rectify Sunday’s 3-0 defeat to Poland. It was not an ideal start to the comeback as Poland took the lead in the 5th minute.

The game remained tense and competitive with equal attacking opportunities for both sides and both keepers making some phenomenal saves.

Olivia Forey found the equaliser for Wales in the 58th minute as her strike was deflected in by a defender.

The drama of the final minutes continued as Poland had a goal disallowed, a Polish penalty corner and a final Welsh attempt on goal. Ultimately the score remained 1-1.

Meanwhile the Welsh boys faced the task of beating Lithuania by more than two goals in order to top their qualifying group.

Wales dominated possession and chances on goal throughout the match.

They found their first goal in the 29th minute as Morgan Sumner slotted it through the keepers legs, swiftly followed by a volley from Alex Starling in the 31st minute.

Wales added two more goals to their total as a result of clinical penalty corners through Adam Thwaite and Patrick Cradden.

Lithuania got one back in the 58th minute following a green card for Adam Thwaite leaving the final score 4-1.

Both Welsh teams will next be in action on Friday.
