Wales Senior Women redeemed themselves as they secured a 1-0 victory over Scotland
in the second match of their easter series weekend.
The match promised to be another tight affair but it was Wales who broke the deadlock early in the second quarter. Livvy Hoskins put Wales ahead as she flicked the ball in off the post in a Welsh short corner.
Scotland attempted to level the playing field throughout the rest of the match but strong scramble defence from Wales and impressive saves from both Welsh goalkeepers kept Wales ahead to level the series one all.
Head Coach Kevin Johnson commented:
"It was brilliant to win, our group bounced back really well from yesterday. All of the stuff we normally do post match, we did diligently and I was really pleased with the performance. We were able to do better things for longer today, where yesterday it was reduced to moments, today we did a lot of good things more often and obviously the result went our way. So looking forward to tomorrow now and the third game."
