New world rankings released by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) today see Wales men move up one spot.
Following the recent return to international hockey with FIH Pro League and Sultan Azlan Shah Cup action, there’s been movement in the outdoor world rankings.
Wales men move up from 16th to 15th after South Africa’s last place finish at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup sees them drop down two spots.
Little movement in the women’s world rankings means Wales women stay put at 24th.
Wales men will next be in action in December in the Road to India 2023 tournament in Cadiz. However, as this is just a preparation tournament for the World Cup, it will not count towards the FIH World Rankings.
Wales women will not play any international matches until later next year.
