Wales Squad Named For Nations League Road To India 2023 Tournament



With the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup just two months away, Wales men are set to take part in a preparation tournament in Cadiz, Spain from the 10th to the 21st December 2022.

The selected squad of 24 will play six games against high-level opposition during the Nations League Road to India 2023 tournament, including Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Japan and Korea.


Head coach Danny Newcombe said “We know that nothing replicates playing against the top teams in the world, which is why we are really pleased to have secured a spot in Cadiz with six high-level games.”


“It is a fantastic opportunity and perfect preparation to ensure we can hit the ground running in India.”
