In an exciting announcement, S4C has confirmed it will stream every match of the Women’s EuroHockey Championship II, starting this Sunday the 27th July, in a major boost for Welsh sport and women’s hockey.

The matches, produced for S4C, by leading sports production company Sunset & Vine, will be available live and free on S4C Clic, and S4C YouTube.
This partnership gives fans across Wales and beyond the chance to follow every moment as Wales competes for a place in EuroHockey 2027 and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
This summer marks a huge moment for women’s sport, and the Welsh women’s hockey team is embracing the spotlight. With a young, exciting squad, boasting an average age of just 23, the team is led by captain Beth Bingham, and features double Olympian Sarah Jones, alongside current GB squad members Millie Holme and Rebecca Daniel.
Sue Butler, Head of Sports at S4C said:
“We’re delighted that S4C - Home of Welsh Sport – will be broadcasting every match of the Women’s EuroHockey Championship II. This is a fantastic opportunity for viewers to follow some of our best sportswomen as they compete on the international stage in Poland.
After a summer of exceptional performances by talented female athletes across a range of sports, it’s inspiring to see this momentum continue. Showcasing these athletes is at the heart of what we do, and we’re thrilled to be bringing this exciting tournament to audiences across Wales and beyond.”
Speaking ahead of the tournament, Paul Whapham, CEO of Hockey Wales, said:
“We are hugely grateful to S4C and EuroHockey for their collaboration and belief in this squad. Their support ensures these games are seen by the nation. This team represents the very best of Welsh sport, determined, talented, and ready to make history. We urge the entire hockey community and sports fans across the country to tune in and get behind the team.
With the nation’s eyes increasingly turning to women’s sport, and momentum building after a summer of standout performances across disciplines, this is a defining moment for Welsh hockey.”
