A thrilling draw brings the weekend of international action to a close for our senior men with a series of positive results.
The match also saw Alf Dinnie celebrate his 50th cap for Wales alongside Will Riley achieving his first.
A goal-less first half saw Wales under pressure from Scottish short corners which were brilliantly defended by Toby Reynolds-Cotterill and his team of defenders.
The second half got off to a thrilling start as Captain Ben Francis tapped the ball in at back post by put Wales ahead before Scotland replied quickly to level the score.
Scotland broke the tie early in the final quarter to take the lead but Jack Pritchard scraped a last minute equaliser through a penalty corner to ensure the men’s first weekend of international action in 2024 concluded positively.
Head Coach Danny Newcombe commented:
"We are delighted with this weekend's results. Every test match is hard fort and these were no exception. Some of our performances were outstanding, to hit this level in our first game in 10 months was particularly pleasing.
Some notable retirements coupled with 3 players away on GB duty gave us the opportunity to award 3 new caps. Congratulations to all who made their Senior International debuts"
