Hoci Cymru announce NAGs squads for upcoming European action

Hoci Cymru is proud to name the National Age Group Squads set to compete in the U18 European Championships II this summer. The boys' squad will be travelling to Alanya, Turkey, while the girls will represent Wales in Glasgow, Scotland. Both competitions will take place between the 13th – 19th July.

 

The boys will face Turkey, Italy and Ireland in their group games, whilst the girls will face Switzerland, Scotland and the Czech Republic.

NAGs boys staff:

Mark Ramage - Head Coach

Brett Madden - Assistant Coach

Supporting the teams in the build-up, but not travelling, are:Dave Sharp - GK Coach & Video Analyst 

Gwyn Davies-Murray – girls S&C Coach 

Connor Hetherton – boys S&C coach

 

Speaking ahead of the tournament, Girls' Head Coach Chris Davis shared:


“After months of hard work, dedication and development, we are pleased to be taking this squad to the Euros. From intense training camps to competitive matches, all the hard work has been a build-up to the Euros and I am excited to see what we can do as a team.”



Boys’ Head Coach Mark Ramage commented:


“I'm incredibly proud of the commitment and determination every player has shown throughout the selection process. Narrowing down the squad was no easy task, but we’re confident that this group has what it takes to represent Wales with pride on the international stage.


The European tournament in Turkey this summer presents an exciting challenge, and we’re eager to see how the team rises to it. This is a fantastic opportunity for our young athletes to gain invaluable experience, and we’re looking forward to what’s to come.”


Whilst the squads’ captains are yet to be named, A special mention goes to Morgan Sayce, who is making his second appearance at the U18 European Championships.
